Directions
If driving from the north, take the A2029 Offham road into Lewes, turn right into Paddock Road just before you get to the Elephant and Castle pub.
If you're coming from the high street, take Fisher Street (between ASK and the Tourist Information Centre). At the end of Fisher Street bear left, and turn left into Paddock Road just after the Elephant and Castle pub.
Paddock Road isn't wide enough for you and the parked cars, so drive along the pavement. Go through the gates instead of up the hill.
Parking
For tournaments there is no parking on the pitch. For weekly matches you can park on the edge of the pitch, beside the pavilion. When you leave, you'll need to reverse through the gates because the road is one-way with no room to turn. Your car will be within reach of sixes, so you park at your own risk.
The nearest car parks are in Westgate Street (limited spaces), County Hall (plenty of space, but no public parking before 6pm on weekdays), West Street and East Street. There is also on-street parking nearby. All public parking in Lewes is free of charge after 6pm and on Sundays. If you park at County Hall please note that Irelands Lane is currently closed to traffic, but open to pedestrians.
Lewes District Council has a map of Lewes car parks (PDF format, 841K).
From the Westgate Street car park, walk away from the high street and traffic lights. As you turn the corner there is a footpath on your left which zig-zags down to the ground.
County Hall has two car parks. From the east car park, which is on a steep slope, walk out of the exit at the top-right of the car park, next to St Anne's Church. From the west car park, which is on a slight slope and has diagonal parking spaces, walk out of the main entrance of County Hall, turn right and walk until you get to St Anne's Church. Opposite St Anne's Church walk down Irelands Lane and take the first right into Paddock Lane. The ground entrance is at the bottom of the hill.
From the West Street car park turn left out of the main entrance and walk until you see the Elephant and Castle pub. A few metres further on turn left into Paddock Road and the ground entrance is beyond the parked cars.
From the East Street car park look for where two lanes of traffic merge together, and walk around the corner to the right where one of the lanes comes from. The West Street car park is on your left, so follow the directions above.
Facilities
The pavilion is a private house, but for players there's a single room where the equipment's kept, and some basic toilets in the back garden of the pavilion.
