Northchapel lost to Steep, 6.30pm, Wednesday 11 June 2008

Although Steep lost two early wickets, Juliet Knight (16) and Deirdre Lindsey (35) steadied the ship to score steadily for a few overs. When Juliet Knight was dismissed by a smart catch, Aimee Holloway came in and really took the Northchapel bowling apart. She scored 41 not out in very quick time bringing the Steep total to 129 off 12 overs.

Northchapel made a stuttering reply, losing 4 wickets by the end of the 3rd over. However Becky Hurst (20) and Laura Green (34*) consolidated the middle order to give the hosts a glimmer of a chance but the Steep fielding was always on top and Northchapel eventually finished on 83 – 9 well short of the Steep total.
