Directions

Don't drive to The Paddock. Use a nearby car park instead.

Parking

The nearest car parks are in Westgate Street (limited spaces), County Hall (plenty of space, but pay and display before 6pm on weekdays), West Street and East Street. There is also on-street parking nearby. Public parking in Lewes is free of charge after 5pm (a few roads are 6pm - check signs) and on Sundays.

Lewes District Council has a map of Lewes car parks (PDF format, 841K).

From the Westgate Street car park, walk away from the high street and traffic lights. As you turn the corner there is a footpath on your left which zig-zags down to the ground.

County Hall has two car parks. From the east car park, which is on a steep slope, walk out of the exit at the top-right of the car park, next to St Anne's Church. From the west car park, which is on a slight slope and has diagonal parking spaces, walk out of the main entrance of County Hall, turn right and walk until you get to St Anne's Church. Opposite St Anne's Church walk down Irelands Lane and take the first right into Paddock Lane. The ground entrance is at the bottom of the hill.

From the West Street car park turn left out of the main entrance and walk until you see the Elephant and Castle pub. A few metres further on turn left into Paddock Road and the ground entrance is beyond the parked cars.

From the East Street car park look for where two lanes of traffic merge together, and walk around the corner to the right where one of the lanes comes from. The West Street car park is on your left, so follow the directions above.
