Stoolball news in March 2009

The rules for the 2009 stoolball season are now available. We’ve also updated the spirit of stoolball, the guidelines for indoor stoolball, the scorers’ guide and our page about how to buy equipment from Stoolball England. A pocket-sized printed rule book, containing everything on these pages, is available to buy from Stoolball England.

We would like to thank everyone who joined in with our Rules Review group to help us put the revised rules together. The 2009 rules apply up to and including the 2011 season, after which another review will be carried out to see whether we need to update them again.

The Indian Stoolball Federation, set up by Sangram Gadgil at Akola in Maharastra State, India, has sent Stoolball England the first photos of stoolball being played there. The photos show coaches and some of the 50 students attending a coaching session.
