Stoolball news in February 2009

Maresfield Stoolball Club and Cricket Club are organising a quiz night at 7.30pm on Saturday 28 February. It costs £6 per person and teams should have up to 6 players. There will be a raffle, and prizes for the quiz winners, and a fish and chip supper is included in the price. To enter a team phone Chantelle Bennett on 01892 653590 or text 07901 551581.

The choices for supper are:

• fishcake and chips
• sausage and chips
• vegetarian spring roll and chips
• fish and chips (costs £1.50 extra)

Soft drinks, teas and coffees will be available to buy, but please bring your own alcoholic refreshments.

The Management Committee of Stoolball England met at 53 Kings Road, Horsham, on Monday 26 January 2009 at 7.45pm. Topics discussed include a new supplier of stoolball equipment, a new coaching manual, an updated brand for Stoolball England, the Sporty Kidz coaching scheme and a new schools stoolball tournament to be held in Brighton on 2 July 2009.
