Hailsham Stoolball League recently held its AGM and has 10 mixed teams signed up for the next season, which starts in the first week in May. Sadly, long standing members Marshfoot were unable to get a side this year, but Hailsham MI has entered a new team to fill the gap. Applications from new teams for this season would be most welcome.

Matches are played on Thursdays, and teams are accepted within a 15 mile radius of Hailsham. We are particularly trying to encourage youngsters to play, and are hoping to run a separate competition this year involving school age children.

Update: It’s too late to join for the 2007 season as matches have been arranged. However, teams in the league will still be looking for players for 2007, and new teams will be welcome again next year.

Officers of the National Stoolball Association (NSA) met at 53 Kings Road, Horsham on Monday 23 October 2006 at 7.30pm. Topics discussed included Criminal Records Bureau checks, umpire training courses, marketing and a visit by representatives of the American Baseball League.
